Browne V Price

Post by AT MAGIC »

Lucas's best chance to land this big fight, Price could well take you up on this now, If Thompson could knock out Price with one then Browne could to, thoughts on this one?

I was shocked that Thompson knocked Price out (even though I think Price was being over-hyped) but I'd be amazed if Browne beat Price, there miles apart in terms of ability.

Yeah, Browne doesn't have the tools to get anywhere near Price. I would be surprised if he made it out of the 1st round.

Not saying Browne is better , but the fact that alota people did say price has got a glass jaw ''i bet he gets ktfo when some1 finaly lands a punch on ''him proved true , would give Browne some hope

Browne beats Price. There is no way Prices management would let him anywere near Lucas.
Lucas is one of the biggest heavyweight punchers in the world.

I hope I'm wrong cause I like Browne, but if that's the case I can't understand why he didn't get Clarence out that night in Kalgoolie? He won every round easy but never looked like stopping him.

First main event, all KOs to that point. Might have wanted more time in the ring. Did not hurt getting 12 rounds under his belt rather than 3 or 4.

Price looked very ordinary against Thompson.

Yeah I know he needed rounds but if he was that hard of puncher he would have taken Clarence out in the later rounds. Don't try and tell me he just wanted 12 rounds.

Price is also one of the biggest heavyweight punchers in the world, and he appears to have much better technique and boxing skills than Browne does. Price was criticized for picking on soft opposition prior to fighting Thompson, but Browne's opposition has been even worse, and perhaps his KO wins are products of that.

I think that Price would defeat Browne, although Browne would have a chance given the former's poor chin.

Browne fights and KOs the boxers put in front of him. During his time in Britain his opponents were replacements for better fighters who turned chicken.

Some bad news. Apparently James Toney will be facing Browne instead of Egobi next month... I kid you not.... Sigh.... That sucks.

Is Toney a direct replacement on the same card? The Amman v Watts card?

Rumour has it that Browne fights Toney. And Nathan Briggs fights Agobi.
What is also interesting is ive read that Huamono turned down a fight with Browne. Which is suprising, considering that Browne was heavily critisised for not defending his Aussie title against Huamono.

I didnt say he is ducking, I said he refused the fight . Maybe he has something else lined up Who knows. Its just strange after Lucas was critisised heavily for not defending his Aussie belt against him. Now the shoe is on the other foot, Nothing is being mentioned of it.

regardless, without knowing the detail properly, u and i will never know what's fair dinkum about these rumours. it only takes one small comment from someone in the camp and it spreads and builds and new versions get passed on.

that's why its a shame that boxers don't get paid too well mostly, cause fights like sol and lucas usually don't get made. the boxers think they deserve better pays before getting in the ring with a dangerous guy. i don't blame them either.

Price's last 3 opponents were all over 40, and the last one of them KOed him.

Even so, each of Price's last three opponents would be the best opponent that Browne has faced.
