Jones/Purdy & Barker/Rotolo - Saturday

Post by GlobalBox »

Looking forward to both of these, I would imagine some people's opinions of the Purdy fight have changed after Jones performance against Byrne.
Many saying he was undermotivated etc etc but Byrne got a deserved draw and I would fancy Purdy over Byrne currently to be fair.

Styles make fights and this has to be a war so that will bring them closer together, Jones clearly has a very good chin but he is not at all
hard to hit and I would say Purdy whilst not being silky possesses the better skills of the two.

This promises to be a cracking fight and I am really looking forward to it, find it hard to pick a winner to be honest but I think Purdy could well pull this out.

Don't think Barker will lose to Rotolo, as always with Darren its injuries and how has the camp been that will probably decide how well he does the job, I really like the guy and hope
its gone well this time, Rotolo is a decent fighter but has seen better days and his tendency to invite right hands all night long will be his undoing here. Barker KO8

Underwhelming card for me Purdy v Jones lost all the momentum after Jones drew with Byrne but it still could turn out to be a action packed fight it just doesn't catapult Purdy the same way as it did before

The fight am most looking forward to is Evangulo (sp) v Connor first fight was a candidate for FOTY I thought Evangulo just edged it but you couldn't argue either way hoping this one gets shown live

Shite show if you ask me.

I know many disagree but i'd much rather have a cracking domestic small hall dust up for the lonsdale than all Hearn's intercontinental shite

I've not seen Purdy in a crap fight and Barker looked fantastic last time out; I'm looking forward to the show; hope a fit and motivated Jones shows up or Purdy will give him hell.

Look at the the card a bit closer you will see the small type of fights as Camacho-Clarke Conner-Evanagelou which was quality first time around and on the 30th of March there is Crolla-Matthews which was voted domstic fight of the year last year so you are getting domestic battles as well.Purdy-Jones was fight people were excited about before it was cancelld and as styles make fight it will be fun.
