Gene Tunny wins the super six, and the right to face Willie Pep in a post Season Lonsdale Match.
As long as both Gene's manager and Willie's manager agree.
Once I have legal releases from both camps, the post season Lonsdale Match will take place.
Should this match take place, it will toll the final bell to the #4# season including all post season activity.
I hope the season offered up some enjoyment. Though I saw few trends when it came to the best of the best facing one another. In the end, it seemed to be all about lady luck's fickle affections.
Thanks to all who participated, and to Crease who worked tirelessly to make a go of it.
Genuinely, it was a privilege to host and facilitate this rather experimental season.

Pep's in, though we do feel it poor that Leonard didn't get another shot at Gene, having finished level with him in the Super 6. I came along to late last season to know that the S6 had no post league stage. Seems odd, but whatever.

This will happen this weekend.

A shame we did not get to see Pep - Whitaker III. The first two fights were draws and with Whitaker battering Duran in his final bout (though lost on cuts due to an intentional butt - scores were were a shut out for The Pea btw), I feel this could have been a great fight.
Good luck to both fighters

No doubting the first 2 were great, close, fights. But if anyone deserves a fight against The Pep it's Benny, who actually finished level top of the Super 6, only for an unconventional ruling, of no knockout stage to be pulled out the bag.
