Thomas Velasquez

Post by Bolo »

Did anyone see this kid fight at the 2013 USA Championships? I tried looking him up and can't find no info on him. This kid has a future in boxing and looked amazing. I think he's a beginner and made a huge statement by coming in 4th at the Us Championships and I found out that he was also at last years J.O tournament. Do anyone has any info on him please let me know, I'm going to keep an eye on him to see how he turns out. Thanks in advance. He's from Pennsylvania

Wow that's only 24 fight that's pretty impressive. those guys are all veterans in amateur boxing and losing only by 3 points to Montgomery shows that he's good. I seen him fight online and Iv'e never heard of him ever

Indeed he is. Do you know him I was impressed by him and I thought he won his semi final fight against Gamez but got yanked. He kinda looks like Canelo. Do you now what nationally he is cause he looks Caucasian but has a Spanish last name. Who trains him and where. I like him and I hope to see more of in the amateur circuit. I hope he sticks around cause I'm pretty sure a pro promotion would love to get their hands on him, he had a good look to him

Thomas Velasquez is from Philadelphia he is Puerto Rican and the kid could box... he trains out of the P.R.B.C his trainning is combine from 3 trainners and his father that makes a big part of his trainning.. he is one of the most humble kid i know he is a jokester but when it's time for trainning the kids goes on a mental stage that no one will break the kid has a big future ahead of him...

the reason he has 3 trainners is because what 1 or 2 eyes can't see the other could people don't realize that in boxing you need a person for mental focus skills and to maintain the weight when the fighter fights for like 3 to 4 nights in a row and he is surely going to stick around for a long time he has his eyes on the olympics he really wants it

I don't think someone is needed for " mental focus " I would say that's the fighters job to be mentally focused, that's what people really don't realize :witzend: I do know he has good skills and I do understand about having extra eyes. I also know It's a team effort, just wanted to know more about him and his team :TU:

i understand that but when ur just a kid standing on 17 years old they need good focus cause anything would make him loose focus..

I seen all his 3 fights at the Pals. His semi final fight was a close fight and I thought that Velasquez won but I knew he wasn't going to get the decision against a California fighter in Oxnard. Through out the whole tournamet Cali fighters were the favorite

How many fights do Velasquez has now?
