Adam Etches

Post by dirketo »

After watching his last fight against Abramenka I must admit that he's a brilliant right hand, but it's not enough to go to a European level fighter. He's hands are too low and his receives a lot of punches in his head. He should improve his defend because if not, he'd have a lot of problems with higher level opponents. He's young and can learn yet.

How do you see him?

Nice to see some1 with constructive critisism rather than just slaughterin fighters on here :TU: Adam is what he has always been as an amateur in my eyes- technically limited but great power in both hands with a slightly porous defence. Unlike a lot of prospects i do feel AE's power would trouble european level fighters. When he 1st joined the Ingles as a pro i was suprised as he is not, as said the most fluid nor gifted boxer you will see but in retrospect it may work out well for him. Punching from different angles and learnin different ways to get the 'shot' on will hugely benefit him. Must be the biggest ticketseller in small hall boxing at the min...although ponds forge wouldn't be classed as a small venue.

Hes not what we would consider a typical Ingle fighter then ?

i dont think ive seen him yet , i was meant to be going saturday to watch Leigh Wood who ive followed since his amateur days but i had to cancel last minute , frustrating as i also cannot attend Leighs next fight despite it being virtually on my doorstep :witzend:

Stopped one of my mates in the first as an amateur, looked very impressive in doing so!
