Hi everyone,
First, please don't be a grammar nazi with me, i'm just not anglicist. Thanks :)
So, i have a little difference of opinion with someone. I said that's Muhammad Ali has never been KO, and he said he was.
To 'prove me' he is right, he showed me your site.
And then, it's true that's it's written "lost 5 (KO 1)" for Ali, just HERE.
But as for me, he WAS NEVER KO. And i was wondering : is this site listing all the defeats before the deadline as KO's ?
I only seen this as explanation, with the accounting of his defeat before the deadline BUT on abandonment vs Larry Holmes as a KO's. (and so, it's clearly not a KO)
Can you enlighten me please ? :)
And if i'm right, a little message on this topic to my 'contender of opinion', to tell him that YES, Muhammad Ali has never been KO, despite the fact that it's written on this site.
Thanks for reading, hope i spoke clearly.
Waiting for you response :)
Muhammad Ali KO ?
Re: Muhammad Ali KO ?
Muhammad Ali was never actually knocked out (with the referee reaching the count of 10) but his retirement loss to Larry Holmes is counted as a TKO (Technical Knock Out).
