irene good night

Post by Jaclem »

..or is it goodnight irene? anyway, i haven't been spending much time on boxrec because i'm working on my reflections on jazz and jazz musicians i've known so i've missed a lot of posts, but irene used to start new threads often, and i haven't seen any for a while.

can anyone bring me up to date?

He was a good contributor, imo.

Sure he could be blunt, but so what?

We disagreed on some things but I respected his viewpoint.

I thought he was a good poster too. He knew a lot about Boxing. Especially the old timers.

He stopped posting awhile ago. Not sure why he decided to but he wasn't a particularly pleasant poster by this time.

He sort of kamakazee'd his way out of here. He knew the rules, was given every courtesy and allowed every benefit of the doubt. Was asked by several moderators to follow the rules numerous times. But eventually he decided he wanted to leave. I miss him, for some of the substance that he brought to the forum. but he did not choose the honor and dignity of taking himself out on his own. He left that to another.

someone saw his somewhat eccentric picture ( I think hunchback was one of the cruel jibes thrown at him) on a online dating website and he threw an almighty hissy fit that led to a warning. He than developed an attitude and started getting rude with other members including a mod. he was than banned temporarily and he sent a message here via a different member that he would be throwing his toys out of the pram and not returning. Goodnight Urine as those of us who knew him affectionately called him kept his word :TU:

The irony is that whenever 'Woudjas' came up, he was always one those who was quite vociferious about why he would not.....and who can forget the famous 'surreptitious gangers' and, of course, the legenedary 'shitbags'....

Maybe if I post a few disparaging comments about George Foreman's anemic resume, clumsy footwork and non-existent reflexes Irene will find a way to re-appear on this forum.

If that doesn't work, maybe I can post a topic proposing that '69 Frazier would have a viable (35-40%) chance of surviving '73 Foreman's early onslaught, then taking him out to deep water and drowning him.

That suggestion always got Irene a little worked up.

Hope you are doing well, Irene.

Goodnight Irene, a non-athletic non-combatant, did indeed say he could take a 60 year old Earnie Shavers. Maybe he tried prove it, hence his sudden disappearance?
