WHAT WOULD HAD HAPPENED AFTER THE 12 ROUND IN THIS FIGHTS

Post by marchegianorock »

Withe the fights today schedules for 12th rounds i'm just wondering what would had happened in some of this fights if they would had been scheduled for 15th rounds. 1.- Leonard vs Hagler, Duran vs Barckely, Chavez vs Taylor, Bowe vs Holyfield the 1 and 2, Delahoya vs Trinidad, and some other fights

I don't think anything would change. If 15 rounds, the fighters would prepare themselves in the gym to go 15 rounds, and pace themselves more in the fight, to last the extra 3 rounds.

Taylor would collect himself between rounds, heed the advice of his corner and proceed to box Chavez' ears off, dropping him for an 8 count late in the 14th. The 15th would be all Taylor, punishing the bleeding Chavez with rapid and hard combinations until Julio quits at the 2 min mark, running from the ring crying like a little girl. That would be my dream ending anyway.

There's something to this but I don't agree 100%...

A 100M runner simply cannot train differently and win the 10,000M

Some people are just more suited to sprints and others to stamina.

I don't believe Leonard could have beaten Hearns in a 10 round fight. And I'm not sure Tommy could win one over 15 rounds.
