Mr. Rover,

Always with 'details, details'............. :witzend:

Newspaper accounts were somewhat sketchy on exact totals.

From what we've got, is that Marvin was ahead by 'only' 1-Point on each of the '3' Official Scorecards
after 11-Rounds.
* 106-105 {5-4-2 in Rounds}.

Marvin moved forward thoughout, but he missed many of his punches, as 'King Cobra Colbert'
back-pedaled from the out-set, and was not in any hurry to trade with 'The Mongoose Hagler'.

By the 'middle-rounds', Marvin was extremely frustrated, and was limited to throwing one-punch
at a time on his fleeing opponent. The '3911' fans at the Boston Garden started to 'jeer' Mike
Colbert to 'stand-and fight', but Colbert continued to move and follow the instructions of his wise
cornerman Al Braverman.

Mike Colbert had success in the early Rounds, by firing quick left jabs at Marvin, then moving
backwards out of harm's way. But, the Northwest Middleweight had better success in the later-Middle
Rounds, by darting in to launch 'sneaky right hand leads' on the now plodding southpaw, and then fire
quick 2-Punch and 3-Punch combinations, before backing away as Marvin swung and missed with left hooks.

Surprisingly, it was Marvin who looked to be fading {slowing down} in Rounds 9 and 10, and the
'King Cobra' looked fresher, as he continued to avoid Marvin's hard right hand power jabs.

In Round 11, it was Colbert who was scoring with the more effective punches. Though they were nothing
more than 'pitty-pat' type flurries, they kept Marvin at bay. Marvin continued to 'plod', and again he was
limited to throwing 'one-punch' at a time while moving forward chasing the quick-footed Colbert.

A bit of controversy at the End of Round 11, as Marvin fired a hard-right hook just after the Bell sounded,
which caught Colbert on the 'button' and appeared to hurt him.

Though Marvin was ahead on the '3' Official Scorecards, the Ringside Press had Mike Colbert comfortably
ahead by '3' and '4' Points on several cards.
Yes, I like details!
