US Boxing Ratings

Post by johnswan1 »

Ward on Froch "And he brings up a third fight with Kessler. But if you look at the ratings they just had, it's a poor rating, and that's a nice way to say it. Nobody wants to see that fight again".

HBO Froch-Kessler II 1,070,000
Showtime Garcia-Judah 850,000 (with an additional 100,000 coming from repeat broadcasts)
HBO Arreola-Stiverne 747,000
HBO Martinez-Murray 696,000

Others to compare against:

Rios-Alvarado II 1.2m
Hopkins-Cloud 1.2m
Cotto-Trout 1.4m
Broner-DeMarco 1m
Canelo-Lopez 1m
Ward-Dawson 1.3m

I think the number seems pretty good considering it's an afternoon event in the US featuring two European boxers in a bout held in London?

Not bad going for two fighters that aren't based in the US.
