Muhammad Ali photo exhibition - London

Post by Kilburn »

A friend of mine went to see this yesterday and was blown away by all accounts. The photographs are all done by Neil Leifer, who covered the whole of Ali's career.

I strongly advise anyone to check it out, it runs until 30th April.

5 Buckingham Street
The Strand
London
WC2N 6BP

Couple of quid to get in, opens until 7pm weekdays, 6pm weekends.

nice one thanks wiull defo go, by the way anoyone see Ali on the beeb 1 last night a dquick slot on 1977 when he came accross to Tyneside to have his marriage blessed.
Blokes a total hero, whatever you think of his politics and other aspects, he always made time for people or certainly thats the impression I got.
I cant think of another sportsman maybe only pele and even then not as much, who has touched so many peoples hearts and had so much to give.

mans a demi god in my eyes.

So J did you go and have a butchers at this? I went last week and it's great. My favourite photo was of Ali standing in the ring before the Quarry fight in 1972 staring at the 36-0 George Foreman who is being introduced to the crowd. A great moment.

I've got my picture and autograph of Muhmammad Ali, with autograph of his best pal and photographer Howard Bingham, on the inside of Bingham's book: 'Muhammad Ali – A Thirty Year Journey'.

Not sure how much that would bring on the market but I'm going up to have a look at that exhibition tomorrow.
