6 managed fighters involved in software corruption scandal

Post by BoxBuzz »

Memo from the Commish:

Re: Investigation of corrupt activity.

The Young Stribling complaint had me looking into the entire season as it is recorded within the database software. I went over every line of digital data and did discover one issue. However it did NOT include our YOUNG STRIBLING friend. (Sorry Detroit.)

I did find a glitch, and one (fortunately) that is easily avoided in the future, and I have implemented a solution for the problem. I need to time my "closing" of the software carefully, or it will not properly record outcomes. Won't happen again. And I am backing up on two hard drives with each finished event. So no chance of last seasons full data failure. Whether by hardware or software. (These fights were all recorded on a single card, and made it easy to identify the issue).

Sorry for this, it did take me some time to review and repair this issue. But not a bad way to spend a few hours on a very rainy day.

The managed fighters involved are:

Archie Moore
Darius Michelzewski
Dwight Qawi
Joey Maxim
Billy Fox
James J Braddock

This issue involves NO inter manager fights...so their opponents are CPU's only.

I have rerun the fights and NO fighter's record has been diminished as a result (lady luck was at hand!)

I believe the fights were from week 5 and are as follows with newly recorded results.

D.M vs Clinton Woods.....no significant change in outcome D.M wins by TKO in round 4
A.M vs Anthony Mundine no significatn change in outcome A.M. wins by TKO in round 10
D.Q. vs Iran Barkley no significant change in outcome D.Q. wins by KO in round 5

The lucky managed fighters with record improvements are:

J.M. vs Berlenback changes from Draw to TKO 5 W for J.M.
B.F. vs Omar Sheika changes from Loss to MD for B.F.
J.J.B. vs Thornton changes from Loss to UD for J.J.B.

The new ratings i am about to post will reflect all changes, and week 6 results.

The hall of shame will need to be updated.

Sorry for this confusion.....won't happen again!

The result for Maxim's fight last week is changed from a draw to a KO 5 victory for Maxim? Now that's the kind of mistake correction we like here at the BrainTrust :OhYes:

I will edit the fights to the correct results then...
The Managers have a lot to be thankful for because Mr Buzz has spared many blushes.
