Masashi Kudo v. Nobuhiro Ishida.

Who takes it? I'd take Kudo in a close one. The last two Japanese jr. middle champs--though Ishida's was an interim title.

Kudo by UD, although Kalule boxed rings around him. Ishida may be one of the most overrated fighters on boxing blogs of the past decade because of his KO of Kirkland. He beat absolutely nobody to win his interim belt, defended it against nobody in the top 50 and didn't win more than a round or two in his last three fights. He had/has guts and showed at the end of career that he'd fight anyone. That's about it. Wajima v Kudo would be a more interesting match. (I would take Wajima by close decision or late KO)

I agree with all of that.
