I believe the 'Final Tally' with Fight Purse and Ancillary Fee's was $80,000.

Eddie Gazo was the Champion, and Masashi Kudo was the Challenger in August 1978.

The WBA was trying to institute a formula, where the Champion would receive 75% and the
Challenger 25% of the Total Fight Purse Bid, not including ancillary fee's.

I know, but I thought Kalule would demand more to go to Japan. I guess he just wanted the shot because he knew he'd win.

It doesn't really work for me, in that light (I'm a part time journalist, so I'm picky). Never mind though, I love to read your stuff, and if anything, the quotes 'add to the' entertainment.
