Why at lightweight? Why not at 130? Don't think it's an interesting style match up at all.

Because they were both titlists there. What did Spadafora do at 130?

Spad started his career at 130 actually.
Valero was obviously the more accomplished boxer out of the two.

Spadafora accomplished nothing of note at 130. Arguello started as a bantamweight, too.
Valero was more accomplished in that he won belts in two divisions, if you judge accomplishments that way, but he certainly wasn't more accomplished at lightweight, where he won a belt, made two defenses and then died.
