Shows that you just never know sometimes. Everything pointed towards a distance fight.

Just to say I was on it, I would like to thank Malik for not understanding that really you need to be up by 8.

You can't just shoot up at 9 and half.

Buster Douglas staggered up at 11 against Tyson and was allowed to continue. The ref should have gave him the benefit of the doubt as it wasn't exactly the most chilling knockdown.

Scott was on his knee and didn't show any intention of getting up.

You won a bet mate, so did I backing Chisora, but it was a tainted finish and the ref was keen to stop it. It was bollocks and British refs are fast becoming school teachers stopping fights on the playground for no apparent reason.

I still think if he wasn't hurt he should've got up sooner.

He was on his feet and compos mentis before the count of ten fact that was an embarrassment to British boxing if the boot was on the other foot all of us British fans would be up in arms about it and i found the way that the bunce was talking about it even more embarrassing a well balanced journalist such as him  should know better

The count wasn't at 11 though, 11 seconds was how long he'd actually been on the floor.

Unless there's a conspiracy going on where Chisora misses and Scott says in the post-fight interview that he was hit with an 'equilibrium blow', yes it did

Becoming?

I've always laughed at some posters here complaining about home town refs in Germany or the US.

As if Britain is any different.

Laughable "stoppage".

I've seen worse stoppages. The count was a bit quick, but Scott didn't want to know. He would have had a very hard time for the rest of the round if he carried on, and I don't think he fancied it.

Right.

Here it is again.

Scott smiles ruefully as he squats on the canvas.

He then nods to the ref whilst the count goes on, indicating he is in full control.
He then immediately nods at his corner, indicating the same.
He rises before the ref finishes the count.

He is then shepherded to his corner by the ref to try and not make a scene, and reinforced quickly by the suit doing the same.

Watch it again without the nationalistic rose tint glasses.

That is a pathetic stoppage.

That's certainly not British boxing officials covering themselves with glory.

He mistimed it; he was doing well and got caught; he looked to have his wits about him and you can see the ref empahise '8', he says '9' and Scott jumps up then; he could have got up at '7' and had the 8 count and the ref would have sent Chisora back and called them in. He just mistimed rising, he could have continued but it was Scott at fault and not the ref.
