Camacho/Broner.
Re: Camacho/Broner.
Given how close his fight with Malignaggi was, I'd have to go with Camacho.

And PDL, too.gilgamesh wrote:Given how close his fight with Malignaggi was, I'd have to go with Camacho.
I agree.

Re: Camacho/Broner.
I didn't really see his fight with Malignaggi being close, but Camacho has way too much foot speed for Broner to deal with. Broner has decent enough defense, but I don't think he transitions from defense to offense all that well, and by the time Broner is finished trying to deflect/evade Camacho's combinations, Camacho will already be out of range.

Re: Camacho/Broner.
You've got two fighters who fought at different weights at different times in their career. Wouldn't it make the thread a little easier to discuss if you picked a time in the fighters' careers or at least a weight class?
Re: Camacho/Broner.
I would think he was imagining the fight at 135 or 140...not sure though.
Re: Camacho/Broner.
I left it blank because I figured different weights would perhaps create more discussion. 147 would be Broner's best shot, but he hasn't proven to be a dominant welter. Certainly not the caliber of the Tito who beat Camacho 10-2 or DLH.gilgamesh wrote:I would think he was imagining the fight at 135 or 140...not sure though.
Re: Camacho/Broner.
IMO, Camacho at or near his prime, definitely at 130-140.

Re: Camacho/Broner.
Not sure yet how it would go if matched prime to prime, although Broner obviously is far from reaching his prime.
Camacho's movement would certainly give AB some problems. He's better defensively, but I don't believe he has the pure speed of Broner.
However, the Camacho of the post-Rosario fight would never win the matchup. That Camacho fought too cautiously and often appeared intimidated by elite fighters. He fought to survive.
He would too against Broner but would drop a one-sided decision.
