Re: hughie fury
I think most heavies mature later. Clearly he has a lot of physical development to go through, and if he keeps rushing a wheel will come off somewhere around British title level.
Re: hughie fury
You don't think he is any good? You'll see when he steps up, he will be world level eventually watching him and Joshua through their career's is going to be exciting and great for UK heavyweight boxing.mason123 wrote:what is evryones thoughts on Hughie fury Tyson furys cousin I don't think he is any good wanna see what everyone else thinks. Re: hughie fury
Well a certain guy i know had been offered the fight with Hughie on Fury/Haye undercard ..
But hes been switched to fighting him on a Kid Galahad undercard on C5 now , and was told its because they have "plans" for hughie on the Fury vs Haye show now , Which has intrigued me as to what exactly those plans are .
Still not sure if im able to say who it was im talking about though![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)

Apparently Hughie is fighting two fairly good opponents on the 14th and 28th.damianhucker1 wrote:Well a certain guy i know had been offered the fight with Hughie on Fury/Haye undercard ..

Re: hughie fury
I expect him to rattle along to 12 or 15-0 and then be moved towards English title kinda level on Hennessy's cards.

Re: hughie fury
I do rate Hughie but I find it hard to imagine a guy who has not reached full physical maturity and acquired his full strength is going to be a force on the world scene. All this will come but not until he is 21-25.
Re: hughie fury
Lets not all get a bonk on about him just yet, really really exciting and watching him closely, when he gets to a genuine world class heavyweight or two and steamrolls them, then we can all start wanking off and the people driving the Hugie Express can toot toot the whistle and say "Told you so"
Re: hughie fury
That could develop into a good rivalry but something tells me Hughie will not be wasting any time whereas Joshua will probably take his time.WelshJack wrote:You don't think he is any good? Re: hughie fury
It's a pointless to speculate at this early stage. If Tyson ends up in a heap the Fury stock goes down, or visa versa. His potential to some degree will be measured against his cousin, especially as Hughie is feasting on journeymen few have ever heard of.
Re: hughie fury
My thoughts are that he's promising but already overrated.

He is promising. Making a rod for his own back though by allowing his team to bang on about becoming the youngest ever heavyweight champ.crusader wrote:My thoughts are that he's promising but already overrated.

A good case for why a dad should'nt train his own boy ,, they start to look through rose coloured glasses and think there better than they are

Re: hughie fury
Elaborate, what could he of possibly not have done so far as mere 18 year old boy that you think might make him overrated ?crusader wrote:My thoughts are that he's promising but already overrated.
Hes a mere boy fighting and knocking out men much more experienced and you say hes overrated !
What more should or could he do to deserve his overrating ?
If you compare him to other 18 year old lads i would say hes doing ok ;;-)
