JDC has not contributed since mid July....hope all is well.
He was protecting his fighter, and nurturing his career...until then
Johnson recently held his own against Foreman in a straight HW vs HW affair. Quite an accomplishment....perhaps he has earned this shot.
Bivins declined the option.
Gibbons would like to win this next fight for WBA unifying rights...thus a little reticent to mix it up with Loughran who he recently won a close one over, and Spinks with whom he has a warm and enduring friendship. Drinkin' buddies from way back they be. However once Gibbons has the WBA...he is happy to knock a drink back, and knock a Spinks out.
Fitsimmons is Patterson's stablemate....another option, but our second choice in order to give another manager a shot.
I'd like to book this, but want feedback. Gibbons is the peoples champ....so the people will have a say.
ShouldJohnson Prevail against Gibbons, He may be auctioned
Re: The case for Johnson vs Gibbons
By the weight of the rules, a Gibbons defence against Johnson is fine. Legally there are no scrupples on this matter as Johnson is currently ranked 8th.
Re: The case for Johnson vs Gibbons
Regarding Mr JDC - that's a toughie... Back in Week 10 when other Managers failed to show for five straight consecutive weeks and they were taken off the active list until they return.
Mr JDC's appearances have been sporadic throughout the past ten weeks... I gues we'll wait and if his fighters keep getting matched against Big George Foreman then he will be taken off the active list.

So....the fight will be made, and if JDC does not drop round to manage his new SuperMegaLonsdaleIBF/WBALinear champion......then the manager with the fighter with the highest ranking willing to trade for him, will be given first refusals to take over this fine fighter.
JDC may have shuffled off his mortal coil for all we know.

We'll let's hope not, I'm fond of Mr JDC, he's a good lad....BoxBuzz wrote:JDC may have shuffled off his mortal coil for all we know.
In the meantime however - the march continues - his fighter will face the unyielding tornado that is Gibbons.
