This will be Tyson Fury's career deining fight......

Post by TopGun »

.....for all the wrong reasons!

Tyson Fury's career will now spiral downwards after Sept 28th. He won't comeback from this defeat because of one sole reason; £5million pounds in his bank account.

He loves the lavish lifestyle and will go crazy with all this money. You heard it here first people, this could be Tyson's downfall, money!

Not sure about that. He doesn't seem particularly flash. Seems happily married and family orientated. I thought that his family had money before he even turned over tbh, isn't his dad well off?

He'll lose and then go back to entertaining domestic scraps. Maybe face price, maybe pick up a euro strap.

He's young enough to come again.

Its not a bad fight. One loss on your record is nothing, and if its worth 5 million, hell a loss is a win in my opinion. Good business sense until those 2 lanky World champions vacate the arena!

Well his Dad is getting everything free right now, so he must be saving a bit of cash. But Peter's definitely got some money if he can afford for Hughie to be on all these shows.

He won't go crazy at all; he's got plenty of people around him to keep him grounded and he'll do just fine.

Let him do as he pleases - afterall he has earned it with his mouth and his fists :D

And who is to say that he disappears upon defeat? sure he might well do but I think he enjoys being the centre of attention and will stick around if he loses - because he is still a young lad.

He might just win !

Besides, unless its a dominating destruction, he can still fight Wilder, Solis, Seth - maybe even a Klit !

All this talk about the Fury fortune but how did the Fury's make their money? What line of business are they in?

I think his win over Cunningham should have earned him a title shot. Haye already had his chance with Wlad. just don't like this fight for Fury, but guess anything could happen.

Boxrec has Cunningham at 25th in the world and his only HW win is against a 21-10-4. How on God's earth does that earn Fury a shot at the title?

Cunningham also beat Adamek, regardless of what the records say.... which frankly is an excellent scalp at HW.

Fury could have gone into a title shot and not been an awful opponent, but even in losing to Haye he will be far more prepared the next time he steps up to world class level.

What a thread.

An estimated £5m won't make any difference whatsoever to someones life.

Adamek is a prized scalp at HW.

Learning all the time reading this.....

I don't think anyone has said that £5 million wont make any difference to Furys' life; only that it wont necessarily spoil it and beating Ademek is a lot better result and meaningful career wise than losing to him.

Nah I agree he beat Adamek and I agree Fury is a more credible defense than most but I still don't think that earns a shot (but what does nowadays?)

I interviewed Peter for Boxing Monthly, he told me that they use the purses from Mick's shows to pay for Hughie's next couple of fights.
Don't let HomicideHenry hear you say that you interviewed Peter Fury. He will get so jealous that his head explodes and go on a tirade of posting even more rubbish in here.

Don't follow you mate.

Beating literally anyone in the division is better than losing to them. Does not make them a prized scalp.

Beating anyone with public recognition can land a title opportunity; the chances of winning are slender and there are many in the chase for a shot, there are tough boxers who are hard to beat without any real recognition factor. Beating someone with a known name can leap frog a boxer to a big money fight (which is pretty much the name of the game).

I think this fight shows that actually titles means fornicate all. Get 2 top rated boxers and fight it out and dont pay sanction fees etc. Who cares about titles these days, money talks and we all know who the top dog is with or without a green plastic band around their waiste
