Seth Mitchell vs Chris Arreola odds

Post by PokerRob »

Mitchell 4/1 to best Arreola. Got to be worth a punt I think after he outboxed Banks and Arreola's shocker agianst Stivern. Not saying he's favourite but 4/1 sound goo to em :TU: :bag:

After he outboxed Banks??? He was swaying all over the place whenever Banks hit him, but Banks just threw the thing away. That was as fishy a performance from Banks as I'v seen in ages.

Arreola can whack, and in my opinion will pull out the win. Against Stiverne Arreola fought nigh on the entire fight with a horrendous broken nose. He's not great and is usually horrendously out of shape, but is a class above Mitchell.

might be but are the odds high enough for that i would look at picking a group of rounds for the stoppage, a specific round or for the outright points to get some really good odds, if you are looking for a worthwhile punt otherwise you will need to put down decent money.

Personally i think arreola will win an by stoppage in rounds 6,7 or 8 but i might be tempted to go for rounds 2 and 3 depending on how the odds are looking.

Mitchell possibly early stoppage around rounds 3 or 4 or on points but i think very unlikely he wins.

Odds should start coming in on specific bets soon.

Can't see this fight going more than 4 rounds either way, and if was going to put a bet on i'd go for Arreola to win in the 3rd round

It makes you wonder why the Mitchell camp picked Arreola? They are big underdogs in a fight that should Seth lose and get KO'd again, the dream of a world title fight and being a contender, would be over. Shouldn't imagine either fighter here is getting a massive payday.

I can't see Seth taking Arreola's shots and would normally say Arreola by KO but I am tempted to go with Mitchell on points (10-1 at Paddy) because the Banks fight was fishy and just maybe someone's readying the fishing boat again!

I don't think Mitchell had much of choice in the matter. Al Haymon manages both of them so he will have set this up.

I read that Banks broke both hands in the Mitchell rematch so chose to spend the rest of the fight hiding that fact by looking like he just couldn't be bothered. I think that's more likely than him throwing it but i'm surprised no news came from his side afterwards.

I expect Mitchell thinks he's a smooth boxer now but Arreola will put the pressure on hurt him and finish him. Everyone seems to agree that if Arreola gets hurt with one shot he'll survive but if Mitchell gets hurt with one shot it's over.

Arreola TKO 3, maybe 4.

Mitchell is one of my favourite fighters so not sure if this is a bit biased, but 4/1 seems huge odds I would've thought he would've been the favourite, but obviously his chin is non existent.

Box_nation have this fight listed as being on the 7th ... starting at 2am. I'm presuming they mean the 8th, e.g. Sunday morning UK Time, rather than Saturday morning?

I've got to admit that's the most staggering thing I've read in this entire topic

Did Mitchell not see Stiverne disintegrate Chris's conk with a right hand that landed like a 12 guage to the face and he still went 12 rnds..
Someone used the word marmalised on the another thread well Arreola is going to turn make marmalade of Mitchell.

There is also a sense of danger with his chin and he can bang too. I just always look forward to his fights (must admit his last one was a stinker)

Love this pic of Arreola doing his best to suck his gut in!

It as all the makings of an exciting fight but after Mitchell's success boxing on the move against Banks in the rematch he may try doing the same to a limited and declining Arreola (12/1 Seth on points). Arreola though for all his limitations can bang and if he does catch Mitchell early we'll learn a lot about how Mitchell has improved (or not) defensibly.

Mitchell is surely another Michael Grant in disguise. Arreola gets to play gets to play Dominic Guinn and have a field day!

All over inside a round, Mitchell just hasn't got a chin

Didn't realise this was on allegedly, just saw it on YouTube with their logo in the top corner and Bunce appearing in between the usual losses of signal.

Arreola did well but the guy has no class. Shouting and gesturing repeatedly over the ring at a stricken Mitchell after the stoppage. Whatever is said before just drop it and let the dude recover first.

I don't think his chin is that bad, he's just too easy to hit flush.

Urgh, did he really do that to Mitchell? That's plebeian behaviour. I seem to remember him laughing in the face of a guy who he just KOd in a round-Joey Abell?

What a nasty bully. No wonder he cried his eyes out like a little child when Vitali beat him up in his backyard.

I thought if a boxer wasn't ready to box 10 seconds after a knockdown the fight was supposed to be over. After Mitchell was given a mandatory 8 count the ref talked to him for another 7 seconds before he told them to box on. Ridiculous!
