Also, can anyone clarify is Elvis Parsley's name was geniune, if yes then his folks sure did have a sense of human.

What about that The Immaculate Conception bloke.
Dark Destroyer was pretty good, as was kid chocolate.
'Marvelous' Marvin Hagler is pure class, as is Mike 'The bodysnatcher' McCallum.
Colin 'Dynamo' Dunne, Chuck 'The Bayonne Bleeder' Wepner is a pretty funny one too.

I like threads like this, did you know that "The brown bomber" was a nickname given to Louis by the press, and that before that one of the names they bandied around was "the chocolate chopper"?

I used to read KO and Boxing whatever the year was in the late 1980s/early 1990s and from time to time they printed some good nicknames.
One that stands out is Mexican light heavyweight Juan 'Idi Amin' Hernadez. I seem to remember 1988 Olympic gold medallist being nicknamed 'Boxing' Andrew Maynard too.
