I am acquainted with the son of Bob Nilon, brother and business partner of Jack Nilon. They were from Ridley Park, Pa. where the son and other family still reside. The Nilon's business headquarters and offices were in Chester, Pa. They were chief venders and food suppliers for most of the East Coast stadiums and entertainment events.

Don't know if Eddie Polino is Joe Polino ? Joe Polino was a famous trainer (Joey Giardello) and top notch cutman used by Liston, Benton etc. Joe Polino was from South Philadelphia.

Pep Barone was based out of Allentown and was a close associate of Blinky Palermo and Sam Margolis.

Archie Pirolli was from Philadelphia and was a long time publicist for promoter Herman Taylor and was also Philadelphia boxing correspondent to RING magazine for over 30 years. Pirolli was also involved with Taylor in the case of trying to extort the contract of Trenton boxer Georgie Johnson in 1955. Joe Polino was a South Philadelphian

The Nilon's were responsible for supplying Municipal Stadium, Connie Mack Stadium, + Parking lots in Philadelphia and later expanded down the east coast and west, including Baltimore.

Pep Barone lived in Allentown his whole life and was headquartered there. Never heard of him owning a Deli in Philly, although it is possible.

Hey my Dad's been in that penitentiary , something interesting he might like to know. I'll write him a letter about it sometime...he's in Prison now too, but I don't think it's that one.

Archie Moore had his Pro Debut in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. A town that was only about 20 or 25 miles from where I grew up.
