I never said he wasn't, I was just surprised he went from slating the ref to singing his praises within the same round!Horse wrote:Jim Watt's a good commentator.

Re: Jim Watt
Just to expand though in all honesty he did say he was a good ref even if he is a bit fussy. ..
Re: Jim Watt
Jim Watt is a terrible commentator. I can't stand sky commentating it's the most biased I have ever heard. Examples tonight.. Walsh v Selby was a very close fight all the rounds were very close. Again a sign of money talks. Then the Quigg fight it genuinely could of went either way and it's Quigg deserves the title . I had the other lad winning the first 6 rounds so with no knockdowns and if Quigg was given last 6 best he could of got was a draw!!

Him and halling were utter shite tonight.
Massively one-eyed.

Re: Jim Watt
They have all got their strengths and all have their weaknesses; it's better when there's a good competitive bout when they have a bit to talk about rather than have to talk for 30 minutes describing action we can see; all of them get on my nerves from time to time but all are very good and see things I've ignored as well, Watt is good but shoudn't be there because he was a former world champion.

Re: Jim Watt
Watt seems to have been given a word by sky as he kept saying things last night like "I have it for Quigg but as you can see I wasn't being biased because I had Salinas ahead after 7".
Re: Jim Watt
I respect he was a great champion and a decent studio pundit. But Jim's ocd has ruined fights with his whinging moaning and talking over ring walks.has to never be allowed to be a commentator again.or have him on a limited old curmudgeon Larry merchant role.with three commentators and limited talk time jim could he reigned iniamasadlittleboy wrote:Jim Watt was awful through out
Re: Jim Watt
Think Sky are stuggling with two things - a decent commentator and a decent MC (I know the promoter provides that). Halling isn't as good as Darke and McDonald had another bad day at the office on Saturday.
Re: Jim Watt
Jim Watt in the studio can be very insightful, as a commentator he depresses me, constantly moaning, could you imagine living with him? "Love you're not doing the hoovering properly, this is a dire performance, this could end the relationship right here"
