This snippet from the rematch suggests the 12/12/1918 bout was a 4-rounder, not 3.

The fight that you are referencing was an amateur bout for servicemen during the war and is mentioned in the wiki biography of Wilde. Moore's win in this amateur bout did create the demand for the 20 round professional fight shortly thereafter.
