Well Sanders was brave enough, he took an untold amount of right hands flush and was never in danger of going down until the end. Either he has the chin of Jake LaMotta, or Vitali is a slightly overated puncher.
Sander's conditioning seemed poor, he hardly threw any punches, just waited until he could see the whites of his eyes before unloading fast left hooks.
He hurt Vitali with a big left in the first. Very dangerous guy, Vitali had to defuse a time bomb in there, but got the job done with a careful disection of the South African.
The 3rd round was bombs away in the last minute or so, real edge of the seat stuff.
It's good Vitali won though, I do like Corrie but he was never going to hang around long. He took a real battering and credit to him for sticking in there so long.
As Boxing Monthly said - Tomorrow Belongs To Vitali.
