Alex Leapai v Denis Boytsov

Post by The Raw Prawn »

Source " Fightnews "
The Leapai v Boytsov fight has been rescheduled for November 23rd in Germany
on the undercard of the Hernandez v Alekseev IBF Cruiserweight title fight.
Good luck to Alex he's in with a punchers chance but I think Boytsov will be too skilful.

Sallywinder will be very excited. :bag:

Lets hope his choices aren't so drastic. Win or lose is good enough.

I hope Leapai knocks this dude out......Boytsov has been a prospect for damn near a decade. I wouldnt doubt if Boytsov pulls out and then fights about 6 weeks later in a "tune up". Thats all that guy fight is tune ups.

Had a quick chat with Alex earlier today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-jXlMqjM4w

He's confident and so he should be.

I think the win may have also made Alex the mandatory for Wlad's WBO title.

Well done Alex and scores of 98-90 | 96-92 | 96-92, show quite a convincing win and going the full 10 rounds answers any fitness questions.

Was a very good effort by Alex, considering he's gone to their backyard to fight, plus it'll be great experience for him to win in another country, against a good fighter.

There's lots of people who think Boytsov cannot fight, but he can, and whether your a fan of Alex or not, and with all the talk about him and Lucas Browne fighting each other etc etc, I think he has done himself and Australia proud, especially since (apart from Lucas) we don't have any real heavyweights to support who'll, have a genuine dig.

I have refereed both Lucas and Alex, and it'll be a terrific fight, if and when it does happen, my preference is that it wouldn't happen, while they both have a path to walk, and goals to reach, also by testing themselves trying to defeat good quality overseas opponents.

As you all know, just in the past 3 weeks now, we've had Lucas up end Richard Towers, and now Alex defeats Boytsov, so the future looks good at present, but let's not get carried away, and lets not get our support factions all up in arms, about why, they will or wont fight each other, and who is ducking the other, etc etc.

Lets, just let them both off their leashes, and get out there, to do their best for not just Australian boxing, but for themselves by achieving good things and trying to beat the World, cos like water, it'll find it's own level, and we will see just where these guys, really are in the bigger scheme of things.

So get behind them, and support their efforts, cos they both deserve our support, as I said, whether you think they can fight or not, whether your fans or not, it don't matter, just get behind them.

Cheers

Now that Alex has a chance at fighting for a World Title, maybe DeMori should stop stuffing around with easy fights and get into the real world of boxing.

I just want to see him fight someone good.
