Derry Mathews arrested

Did anyone else hear about this? He was supposed to have been involved in an altercation with a woman in a takeaway she needed treatment after for her injuries

Yeah I heard this.

I went on his twitter and he responded to someone from the Liverpool Echo that he was released quickly after they review CCTV footage. The guy gave his number out to Derry to phone and give him his side of the story but chose not to.

Sounded to me like some drunken bag was having a go at his mrs and he intervened.

Obviously the police take allegations like that very seriously and if they told Derry he was free to go - then it's a total non-story.

CCTV footage reviewed and he was released without charge so no issue. Doesn't stop the bad press of a boxer being arrested splashed all over the local news.

When the girl was ordering her food she shouldn't of said can I have a one two one , poor Derry didn't understand.

How comes it was quick to be announced that he had been arrested but when he was released it didn't make the news. Don't think Derry is that sort of man myself
