Why did he retire, any ideas?

No ideas? He had a pretty decent record, only lost once to a peak unbeaten Ike Quartey, had one more fight that he won and then gave up. Maybe he had an injury.

I'd assume he lost interest in boxing. I think he was based out of Northern Ireland at that time (Barney Eastwood had some sort of WBA connection back then) so I'd assume he upped sticks and went back home to Venezuela?

I'm sure I read somewhere recently that he'd married an Irish woman and lived in Ireland and trains boxers though I may be wrong.
