Re: Jimmy Degale
Aye it should be an interesting fight.
I really think DeGale has to win impressively tonight and make a statement. He pro career has been a big anti-climax so far and he has to be smart tonight and not get into a fight with this guy.

Re: Jimmy Degale
The American's only 32. Boxed 4 times in 2 years but most recently in August, a KO win. He could be absolutely anything at this point. I agree, it would be a mistake to dismiss him before seeing what he can do.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Aye it should be an interesting fight.

pre-fight interviews
what sort of a show do you need to put on tonight?
What about Dyah Davies?
Your knee's 100% ok - so that's not an excuse if you lose?
So you need to put on a show tonight?
can't they get someone in the studio to field this crap and just let him get ready ffs?

Re: Jimmy Degale
Shoddy stuff. Nice to see Channel 5 give the fight next week a bit of free advertising. Degale seems like an afterthought.
Re: Jimmy Degale
yeah I don't get that. Anyone that's tuning in will be tuned in already. They aren't showing Froch Groves so strange.
Bernstein says the American is tricky and powerful. Could go the distance. Davies still dressed in trackies and putting on handwraps. Degale was stripped down banging his gloves fully 10 minutes ago...
Nice of Woodhall to wish the American luck. It would show a lack of class not to, but at least he's not glaringly biased.

Re: Jimmy Degale
Davis is more of a boxer type. Not a particularily hard puncher but a defensively minded boxer who likes to box on the outside. Not sure what Bernstein is on about in regards to Davis being powerful.n1ebf wrote:yeah I don't get that. Anyone that's tuning in will be tuned in already. Watched some fights of his on youtube and dailymotion! He's not a bad fighter but Degale should beat him.n1ebf wrote:seen Davies box before Columbo?columbo wrote:Davis is more of a boxer type. Re: Jimmy Degale
This isnt pretty to watch but Degale is dominating.
Re: Jimmy Degale
true , be interesting to see if he davis camp are banking on the usual lack of interest that often comes from degale mid way through fights

Re: Jimmy Degale
Happy with Degale. He looks good and isn't being hit at all. Very easy after 5 rounds.
Re: Jimmy Degale
He's dropping too many rounds though! He's not a big puncher to begin with and he's away from home. Not a good tactic if it is the case.80/20 wrote:true , be interesting to see if he davis camp are banking on the usual lack of interest that often comes from degale mid way through fights

Re: Jimmy Degale
The most cringing thing about this is the c5 commentary bum sucking!
Re: Jimmy Degale
Am I the only one impressed?
Re: Jimmy Degale
I get so frustrated watching DeGale.
Re: Jimmy Degale
Davis is pretty poor to be honest. He has nothing to trouble Degale.
