I've watched it back enough times. Carl Froch landed a few shots in which time I was still moving, defending and firing back. I was NOT in any real trouble. The tide of the fight was NOT turning as I had stiffed Froch's legs with a jab earlier in the round. The only point I stopped punching back was when Howard Foster got me in a head lock with his full weight on me. It was an absolute joke whether it was sinister or not Froch's boxing celebrity status has stood in the way of me becoming world champion. Away from dodgy reffing why was I only one point up at this point on two judges score cards? This corruption in boxing needs to end now. We have seen far too many wrong decisions in the UK of late and it will only serve to put fans off the sport.

They are very unintelligent business men as all they are doing are shooting themselves in the foot... long term at least!
They just sell out for short term goals, which has damaged the sport OVERALL in the long run!
If it wasnt for the ridiculous amount of corruption (sure they wouldnt benefit short term by getting rematches and such) the sport would be in a much stronger state of affairs today, more people would follow it like and everyone (TV stations, promotors, fans) would benefit, LONG TERM!!!
It seems as though Groves feels the same way many posters have felt for a long time. I can imagine Froch will want Groves to state he was rightly stopped before he agrees to a rematch (ala Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns).

The stoppage was unfair and the rematch is not up to Froch, unless he chickens out of it!
I agree and I can imagine that he'd do something like that.
The fight was in the process of turning, you know, when Groves was red faced, sagging, on unsteady legs and being punched in the head by Froch in a sustained attack. Unfortunately, for Groves and us, that's when the ref stepped in.
He is right about dodgy decisions, although he needs to realise that fights aren't won on points after 9 rounds! I can't get my head around those that think Groves won. His cries of unjust result, he should be world champion now and as deluded as Froch's chat about the stoppage.

GG didn't win, but he had the fight taken from him unfairly,imo...and many others.
I thought it was an unfair stoppage. As I say, it robbed him, and of course us fans, from finding out how it would played out over the last few rounds ( if it went that long )
How ironic that Groves' team are going on about Facebook and professionalism after Howard Foster liked a comment, and then he goes and posts this on the same forum basically citing corruption. Well played George.
