Good luck to him. Must have been devastating to have his boxing career cut short.
Re: Tony Jeffries - New Career
I'm guessing that's come about through his friendship/links with Mickey Rourke. Good to see
Re: Tony Jeffries - New Career
I'm sure I read somewhere that he wasnt/isnt a boxing fan. I get a feeling it was a just a job to him. Could be wrong though.vargas wrote:Good luck to him. Must have been devastating to have his boxing career cut short.

Apart from the spot of acting, which he got on his very first audition.
He's modelled for Levis in a major advertising campaign and can be seen on top of cabs, on billboards and in magazines all over the shop.
He's been training Chris Hemsworth and a few others for the upcoming Michael Mann movie. Mann's got a must have a soft spot for prematurely retired boxers, because Michael Bennt is in several of his movies.
I'm mates with him on Facebook, can you tell.

He has! I'm sure he's had some help along the way though. Like most of course who get anywhere.keithmoonhangover wrote:Boy done good in the land of opportunity.columbo wrote:Dont know how he's pulled all of that off lolkeithmoonhangover wrote:Apart from the spot of acting, which he got on his very first audition.

He is well driven and he will do just fine
His hands were so well manky that they were deemed unfixable, mackem and ginger getting parts in hollywood, what are the odds eh? I think Tony Scott was ginger and a mackem though and he had some clout in holywood.
gaaaaaan ooooooon jaffa lad

I'm glad he's found something else because I followed his career and he certainly wasn't going to do anything in the pros.

Re: Tony Jeffries - New Career
Just telling the truth mate, I'm a mackem myself and would of loved nothing more than to of seen Jaffa do great things but it was never go to happen. He cut up so easily and he was only boxing journeyman.macaca wrote:Kyle1991 wrote:I'm glad he's found something else because I followed his career and he certainly wasn't going to do anything in the pros.

Yeah has a few lines as well. Was all snuggled up on the Sofa with the wife and then you catch a glimpse of his face and thought to myself "was that Tony Jeffries?" next thing his back on the box and as soon has he opened his mouth I'm like "**** me thats Tony Jeffries!" wife just gave me a "Tony who look"macaca wrote:Without blinking?JediKnight wrote:He can be seen staring in the Blacklist as a Mercenary.
As you can tell nothing much happens on the North Coast of NSW
Re: Tony Jeffries - New Career
I think disappointments got the better of Jeffries & the pros were abit long in the tooth for such a chirpy lad who was a very strong fighter with a solid dig!!
As for modelling I ain't having it!!!!lets all approach Levi's!!

True - but to be fair, with his looks and personality he needs the help.columbo wrote: I'm sure he's had some help along the way though. Like most of course who get anywhere.

It's the modelling bit that throws me. I cant picture him doing that.
Re: Tony Jeffries - New Career
Its not modelling like he's walking up and down the catwalk with waxed eyebrows and the such looking like a prize prick though.
