Tony 'I'll die in the ring' Bellew always talks a good game, but rarely produces one. I see nothing but Bellew being flattened as the outcome of this contest.

Agreed fully. You forget the part after he loses when he moans it was a lucky punch and blames everybody but himself.

He changes promoters and starts the same old rubbish for another 2/3 years.

B level fighter at best

I agree - he is doing his usual "gobby scouser" act, but it is boring.

How many times has he said he is going to go out on his shield etc. etc. and then not back it up with his performances in the ring.

He has not been the same since McKenzie put him over before getting the wrong end of a diabolical stoppage that makes the Froch/Groves stoppage look reasonable.

Snooker, that is. Not tossing off. (Though I'll probably do that several times as well.)

2 fights ago I'd say Bellew has a chance. Then Adonis flattened Dawson which made me think Bellew still has a smaller chance if he can outbox Stevenson and tire him out and come on stronger in the later rounds. Then Adonis schools Cloud. I'm now struggling to see how the bomber can pull this off, though I really hope he can prove us wrong. Seems like a good bloke to me, replied to me on twitter once :geek:! Good pundit too.

He says this every time, then comes out defensively and is dull, seems to think he's a big puncher, when in reality his power's very average. All mouth and no substance.

No one should doubt Tony Bellew has massive balls taking this fight. He's jumped at the chance, taking on one of the hottest fighters in boxing today, and one of the most fearsome too.
Travelling 4000 miles to Adonis' home town in Canada, where he's a superstar. Talk about odds stacked against you.

And he's talking the talk too, not staying humble and being intimidated by the brash Stevenson.
Most sports men and too afraid of being shown up to boast of what they're going to do before hand, not boxers though, and certainly not Bellew.

He really believes he's going to hit the jackpot, and I reckon he'll be boxing cautious, but also throwing bombs, because he'll be aiming for that million dollar bulls eye: the shaky Adonis chin.

Should be a great double bill shoot out in Canada :TU:

He didnt have much choice to be fair! Lol. If he wants to be world champion that is. Who else was he going to fight? Kovalev? Hopkins? Shumenov *he pretty much owns the WBA belt I think and the body itself*.

I like Bellew he is a bit of a plonker in his build ups but he has another title shot and has earnt it.
Self belief is a key component in being a fighter especially when the task looks impossible.
He is a positive pundit on sky when he is talking about other fighters.
Fair play to him I hope he can pull off a shock win.
Like a previous poster outlined the odds are stacked against him but you never know.

I think Stevenson is greatly overrated. He hit a jackpot punch against Dawson and then fought Cloud at a time where he was doubting himself after the Hopkins defeat. I'm not convinced and believe Bellew has a very good shout in this. I think Bomber by KO at 8/1 is a pretty good bet as it's the only way he's going to win. Adonis was a confident fighter on a KO streak and his only two credible opponents both had confidence issues. He won't find that with Tony and may be in for a surprise.

Stevenson is decent mate. ive watched him a fair bit. Dont get me wrong, he's not like ward or someone who cant be beat but he does have talent. He's vastly improved since being at the kronk.

I'm not sold on Stevenson either, but it'll take a lot more than what Bellew has to beat him.

Love to see him win it. I wonder if he'll do a 'fighting city, proud Scouser' speech after?
