Either David Haye or Dwight Qawi

Jirov, J.C. Gomez and Toney would probably be near the top as well...but I figure Qawi or Haye would beat most of the other Top Cruiserweights of all time. Styles make fights though.

Probably Deleon, but I'd have to research it. Huck is making a move himself.

Haye's resume at cruiser is pretty weak historically.

DeLeon, Bell, Adamek, Norris, Cole . . .even Mormeck himself have better cruiser resumes than Haye does.

I have Carlos "Sugar" De Leon as the #2 cruiserweight of all time. He was champion 3 times.

elmersala, Carlos De Leon was Cruiserweight Champion 4 times actually from 1980-1982, 1983-1985, 1986-1988 and 1989-1990.

Probably go with DeLeon in terms of an overall cruiserweight career and talent, although he was ridiculously inconsistent. While he won and lost belts four times, he certainly wasn't the "champion" many of those years because Qawi was better when they both held belts and Holyfield obviously proved himself better when they both held belts and fought. Would only pick DeLeon over Qawi because he had a longer successful career at the weight.

Huck might be my #2 if he hadn't been the beneficiary of so many close decisions at home, at least two of which I thought he clearly lost. All 13 of Huck's cruiserweight title fights have been at home. DeLeon had 16 title fights, none in his native Puerto Rico.

Initially Dave Haye came to my mind... But I suppose Johnny Nelson and O'Neil Bell are worth a shout to a lesser degree.

Toney on all-around ring skill, but for accomplishment purposes, I'd go with Qawi.
The Qawi who gave Holyfield all he could handle in the first match, would also have given Toney a very rough go.

Dwight Qawi would eat David Haye alive at Cruiserweight.

This is highly subjective as there are few cruiserweights who have made a significant impact on boxing history. But I have the #2 spot as a tie between David Haye and Carlos Deleon.. David Haye is the only cruiser aside from Evander Holyfield who really had a dominant unified reign, while Carlos Deleon was the very first recognized champion since the division's creation, along with being its only four time belt holder.. Other guys like Huck, Qawi, Norris, Crous, and several others were certainly top 10 candidates, but none of them have standout achievements at that weight, and some of their stays were too short to rank highly.

A fair observation, but you should note that Evander was in his 11th pro fight when that bout took place.

It's an awkward question for me.

David Haye is the 2nd best fighter to win the Cruiserweight title, but Carlos DeLeon is number 2 due to his better resume.

Johnny Nelson should be number 2, but the way he bitched out his fights with DeLeon & Warring spoils him for me.

Toney on skill(though I wrestled with the idea of saying Gomez) and De Leon on resume, I suppose.

Really? Haye became unified champion in his first world title bout then had only one more fight at CW.

Yeah, Haye didn't exactly have much of a reign, it's kind of a strange way of putting it.

Crazy as it sounds but Marvin Camel is the only Cruiserweight that I know of who could have very easily of went after the 175 and 200 pound titles as well. So in that aspect at least he had the potential to of been second best.

Camel wasn't good enough to handle the Light Heavyweights at that time.
