Best names in boxing ....i'll start Slugger O'toole

i was reading about paddy fitzpatrick and thought now that's a name ,no ones gonna wonder where paddy's from or what sport he might be involved with . i always found the name slugger o'toole as a great boxing name ,what other names are great boxing names ..
ps i'm a plastic paddy myself so maybe that's why i like the irish names ....

Slugger was a black lad though wasn’t he? Before my time.

Slugger O’Toole is now the name of a big political website in Northern Ireland now.

yeah slugger's real name was fidal castro smith i think and he was black but brendan ingle gave him the name slugger to make him sound irish ..there was a few heads being scratched when slugger walked out to "dirty old town" ...

Got me bloody wondering now, one of my boxers has someone called Fidel smith in his corner, who im always told knows his stuff but ive never put 2 and 2 together, wondering now if its the very same guy.... will feel a bit stupid if it is :lol: :oops:

And the Brit contender - Kid Galahad.

There was a 'Faintin' Phil Scott who was a British heavyweight who boxed on America I think and won many a fight by disqualification - by leaping up during fights and going over when he was hit low....
