New Scottish Boxing website

Post by scottishboxing »

Just a quickie to let all Scottish boxing fans know that a new site dedicated to both amateur and professional boxing in Scotland has been launched.

It's early days yet but I hope it can become a focus for Scottish boxing.

Anyway, it's at http://www.scottishboxing.co.uk.

Thanks for your time,

George

Many thanks for the good wishes.

Neil, I'll add an "about" bit to the website, but basically the site is run by me and a friend, both big boxing fans.

Anyone with an interest in Scottish boxing is welcome to contribute. Already, clubs and individuals are getting in touch offering support and hopefully it will grow from here on in.

I'm not wanting to step on anyone's toes, but am just fed up not knowing what the f*ck is going on. Unless you're at every ringside, it's often a nightmare finding out what actually went on.

I've a lot of ideas for the site, but they'll come in time. What I really want to concentrate on for now is this though. Every time a Scottish boxer steps into the ring, amateur or professional, I want it on the website - both to let people know it's happening in the first place and then to tell them what happened afterwards.

Thanks again,

George

Good website hombre

Last week I was emailed by two guys from Glasgow asking if I would do a monthly column for their soon to be opened scottish boxing website, & el McCoy verdadero has agreed.

Like the man from Delmonte, McCoy said yes

This can only be good for scottish boxing baby, as it is very difficult to get decent info on Scottish boxing on the web at the moment

I'm assuming it was another website that contacted you, although I'm from Glasgow originally and the other guy who'll be doing a lot for the site from ringside is from Springburn.

But the Real McCoy is welcome to contribute to the Scottish Boxing website too.

Anyone who has anything to add to the website is more than welcome to contribute. The sooner we can provide a complete picture of what's going on in Scotland - both at amateur and professional level - the better.
