Steven bendall comeback
Steven bendall comeback
Noticed he boxed last on Sturm bill after a couple of years out for some form of title, I also think he won I noticed it on facebook. So is he back now actively boxing? How come he retired?
Re: Steven bendall comeback
He never really retired, had a few probs being licensed in Britain, he has always been in training, he runs his own gym in Bournemouth.
He picked up the WBU strap last night, I'm sure he knows it isn't the WBC belt but still a good achievement, well done Steve

Yeah, he drinks in my local. He's been personal training for a few years and does run a modest gym.
I understand that he regularly spars lads from another local gym.
Fighting abroad, Its a guaranteed pay-day so i can imagine its difficult for him to turn down.
Always a really nice fella, whenever i bump into him and start chewimg his ear about boxing. He holds a win over Paul Smith in the paid ranks.

His brothers were good amateurs as well; Steven Bendall won just about every junior amateur title going and the Triump gym in Coventry was run by his grandad I think - a real boxing family. I rated him before and am glad he's doing ok now, I imagine Bournemouth is a far nicer place to live than Cov.liamlion wrote:Yeah, he drinks in my local. I thought he had retiered
How did he get to box on Sturm undercard?
I wonder if Sturm defends against him now
