Please tick your 6 votes and type them out in a post.

The poll will be open for 7 days.
There will be no re-voting (as to prevent the votes being manipulated).
There is no shame in voting for your own fighter (it does happen) but you can at least be honest about it.

The top six with the most votes goes in to the Super Six.

Here are my votes and the reasons why:

Ezzard Charles:
He had a fantastic WBC Title reign and was arguably the best fighter of the first 20 weeks.

Tommy Gibbons:
A dominant fighter, he just keeps on collecting World Titles. For me, he's a MUST.

Jimmy Bivins:
He didn't do much in the first 20 weeks, but since then Jimmy has exploded on to the World Title scene and has won more World Titles than anyone else.

Michael Spinks:
He has consistently been a major player throughout the season, and is still a force to be reckoned with. I can't see how we could leave him out.

Bob Foster:
He won the Million Dollar Tournament. For me, that qualifies him!
(I would also point out here that in the previous 2 Super Six installments - the Millionaire Champ has always been voted in - and I am thinking of making it mandatory)

Tommy Loughran:
Loughran has a fantastic start to the season, but he went off the boil a bit. However, he's won another two World Titles and he's back in business.

Looks to me like Big Fruity Frog had the most balanced outcomes. Fitz and Floyd might be the best "duo".

I voted for Moore...but I had forgotten that Foster won the MDT. So I'd change that vote to Foster.

Basically the first 6 names on the list are the Super Six.

I don't think he has been any lower than 5 or 6 all year but has choked in every title fight and the MDT tournament final. :witzend:

Conceivably yes, but neither of them have even won a single World Title in thirty weeks of this season. Looking at it that way, I don't think that a barren spell like that should qualify a fighter for The Super Six.

Gotta figure he'd choke in the Super Six too.

Pretty much my way of thinking as well but if he is able to beat Gibbons this week I honestly think he deserves a spot in the super six.

:o

A single victory does not exactly propel a fighter to the lofty heights of The Super Six. This tournament is only reserved for the best, and to be in that top six you have to have had a successful season... So it's measured in terms of your all-around season, not just your single best win.

And if you haven't voted, do so now. You may vote up to 6 times.

As I said my argument for him being possibly included is him being in the top 5 for pretty much the whole season though I also agree that he hasn't stepped up when it has counted and that goes against him.

It would help if Floyd could win the Lonsdale this week. My fighters have been plagued by late fight collapses (Patterson), and MD,SD, Draw outcomes (Fitz).
