Frankie Gavin vs Leonard Bundu

I hope this fight happens very soon. After watching Bundu last night i'd fancy Frankie's chances. Bundu looks more awkward than anything to me. He actually seems to switch stances which throwing which is quite bizarre. His handspeed is good but I dont think he's the puncher than last nights stoppage made him look. I think it was an accumulation than anything. Anyway, what do you thinK?

would be a very good fight, both got skill to burn, was impressed with bundu last night, I thought after 6 rounds he was in trouble but he changed up his game plan and bossed the 2nd half of the fight, Frankie would cause him different problems than Purdy with his style, top fight

I found his style quite odd mate. The way that he seemed to switch stance whilst actually throwing! That's not something you see that often lol. He's got speed though.

Probably woke up with a serious bloody headache aswell ... certainly showed a lot of toughness. Would be interesting to see how Frankie dealt with Bundu's quite unorthodox style.

It's a fight I want to see early next year, frankies timing, distance and countering will be to sharp for this guy, his come forward style plays into frankies hands perfectly ! Bring him on

Im still not 100% sold on Gavin as a world champion in waiting yet,i think he has loads of natural ability and is talented but whether his style will win a lot of close 12 rounders? i dont know,id like to see him adopt a more aggressive approach in fights as well as sticking to the slick counter punching or he might be on the wrong end of some decisions,ah-la Alexander being outfought by Porter

Would be a step back for Gavin and the end of Purdy's career. World amateur champion vs no amateur experience. Purdy was beaten by Vassell, who was bullied and had his jaw broken by Frankie, if he can't outtough a man who was bullied by Gavin, what chance does he have. I wouldn't bet on him landing more than 20 clean punches all fight.

People called me mad when I said all along Frankie would stop Vassell, everyone saying I'm biased because I'm close to Frankie.
I even had the conversation in the gym with Anthony crolla & joe Gallagher who is very experienced and can read fights very well, they even thought I was mad, but I like to think I'm experienced myself in this sport and can read fights very well also, and I would put my life on it if & when Frankie fights Bundu, he will stop him.
Purdy showed us Bundu doesn't really like body shots and Frankie is a very good body puncher, Bundu can't & won't outbox Frankie, and if he tries coming to Frankie it will be a easy nights work IMO.
Frankie doesn't get the credit he deserves for his punch power, everyone has always said he can't punch, he isn't a one punch Ko artist or concussive puncher, but with a 70-72% Ko ratio, I think his power speaks for itself, especially when u bear in mind pound for pound the hardest hitter on the planet GGG has only a 16 or 17% higher ratio than Frankie.
I don't think Purdy should fight Frankie either, he is tailor made for Frankie & would take a beating, very same has Vassell, and any fighter with that aggressive style make Frankie look a million dollars and play into his hands IMO.
And no I'm not kissing Frankie's arse or biased because we're close, that is my honest professional & personal opinion, not saying I'm right, it's just my opinion, but has I said I like to think I'm experienced enough to be able to read fights, and has big fight fan aswell has involved in the sport my self I think Frankie is a absolute class act.

Purdy is game but very limited. Bundu impressed me though. Anyone know why at the age of 39 and after 33 fights unbeaten he's still knocking around at the Euro level? I agree though, good fight would be him against Gavin. Think Gavin would win.

Which really shows us that percentages and ratios and statistics can prove everything or prove everything is nonsense.

Rest of your post I agree with but think Bundu is a dangerous man, Purdy is no great boxer but is a solid and tough man and he does hit hard, Purdy v Frankie would be a turkey shoot but Bundu v Frankie would be nip and tuck.

He didn't turn pro until 2005 which explains a bit of it, I guess Italy doesn't produce many world champs so it's down to his promoters.
