Colds

Post by n1ebf »

I was at my boxercise class earlier this week, I didn't realise until I walked down there how crap I felt. I'd had a sore throat, nothing major, for about 2 days and just seemed to be drained when it came to bagwork.
Tonight I'm not sure whether to go boxing or not. My sore throat has gone but I'm still a bit snotty. There's nowhere worse to be than in the middle of a class before you realise how run down you are - apart from a fight I'd guess!

treatments/ what works for you etc? If anything..

Also I've noticed if you do a hard session and then go out on the drink afterwards it makes me seem to pick up whatever bug is going about. I don't go out loads and I guess being out in just a shirt at night-times doesn't help..

A couple friends of mine are medical sorts, any time they get a cold or anything they do as little as possible, stay in bed, don't go crazy eating too much, drink lots and lots of water. I couldn't say if this speeds their recovery or anything, but they swear by it.
