Originally out of South Philadelphia, Angelo Dundee loved to bring his fighters into his old home town (or any place) to beat up on our local prides. David Love was a real Philly Killer scoring upsets over Perry "L'il" Abner, Boogaloo Watts, Willie "the worm" Monroe and Benny Briscoe before Curtis Parker was able to salvage some revenge for the city.

Of course Dundee's greatest "Philly Killer" was Luis Rodriguez who outclassed Charley Scott, Sugar Hart, Carl Hubbard, Jesse Smith, Mel Collins, Georgie Benton, Bennie Briscoe (2), Percy Manning, Candy McFarland and adopted Philly favorite Johnny Morris (who was out of Pittsburgh).

Another sensation was Douglas Valliant beating No. 1 lightweight contender Len Matthews at Convention Hall in 1960 with Dundee in the corner.

Il Duce, could you please tell me how good was David Love? I know he was a stylish boxer with a finesse style. He also had a good left jab and skills. Those were his strengths. One of Love's weaknesses that he lacked power.

Can you please tell me what was his best punch even he didn't have his punching power? Also, how good was his speed, footwork, defense, body attack, ring general, durability and chin?

Il Duce,

I know that you replied to my post that Elijah "Tap Tap" Makathini was an action fighter with his left cross was his best punch. Could you please tell me how was his right jab, right hook, speed, strength, stamina, body attack, defense, footwork, chin, durability and ring general?

Take your time. :TU:

I thought you'd be sitting in a holding tank by now with Klompton sending his legal eagles in.

You ought to apologise to that man; you turned a sane man mad.

Il Duce,

I would please like to know how good was Willie "The Worm" Monroe? I know his nickname described his good movement and a smooth stylist boxer who like Muhammad Ali danced around the ring. A hard hitter with a good right hand.

How good was his skills, left jabs, left hook, right hand, power, power punch, body attack, speed, strength, stamina, defense, chin, durability, footwork and ring general?

Please take your time if you have time before I start repeating those post, but I like to know anyway about the one fighter that "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler admitted of losing to in their fight before Hagler dominated the next 2 fights. :box:

Il Duce,

Could you please tell me how good was Bobby "Boogaloo" Watts? They say that Watts was the most skilled 1970s of the Philly middleweights.

What about his left jabs, left hook, right hand, power, power punch, body attack, speed, strength, stamina, defense, chin, durability, footwork and ring general?

Please take your time if you have time before I start posting the same question about the first man who beat "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, who disputed with the decision in their first fight along with the Sugar Ray Leonard fight.
