Ouch....I'm thinking David COULD be too fast and athletic for Ernie. Not that Ernie couldn't end it any time if David got leaky in his defense. Haye has everthing he needs to outpoint Ernie if he plays it totally safe.

I'd be inclined to bet a small amount on Haye. But I'd be prepared for the personal satisfaction of the big splat ending if David gets cocky.

I think David comes out cautious as hell and wins the first 4 or 5 rounds comfortably before getting bombed the hell out in the 6th!!!

Haye's speed is extremely over-rated. Look at Shavers in the first fight vs Clark . . fast, great jab, good countering ability. His hands were as quick as Haye's; only his footwork was more pedestrian. But easy fight for me to pick . .Shavers by mid-rounds TKO.

Haye was intimidated by Wlad.
Imagine he would have the same mindset against mega-puncher Shavers. He might survive a few rounds by outboxing Earnie, but eventually Shavers catches Haye and it's lights out for the Brit.
Haye doesn't have enough of a heavyweight resume to last against a power puncher like Shavers.

That's how I see the fight going. He back-pedalled all night against Valuev too.

I think we all want to see a Shavers win. But a Haye points win is possible especially if it were a 10 round fight.

Haye has a glassy jaw and Shavers would have smashed it. Shavers by a knock out.

I just can't see it. Hayes got nothing that really troubles Ernie except backwards foot speed and would get before ten IMO.

What do you see Haye doing to win?

Haye won't engage. Ernie will have to force it. I imagine Haye to have the better of the fight...that is win more rounds... Ernie won't find it easy Haye will be moving and pivoting away all the time.

But I fully expect Ernie to catch up with him...and yes before 10. I just wouldn't rule out a Haye win.

By the way, I'm typing 'Ernie' because Buzz typed it but I always thought it was 'Earnie'
