Lost lives in Lowell. Just reading micky wards book and this is mentioned. Does Dicky Ecklund feature a lot in the documentary?

Yes he does, it's bleak and worth watching - the town was left to it's own devices and many couldn't find a different role, drink and drugs filled the gap.

It's on YouTube. High on Crack Street. Very nasty viewing, I've seen that pipes handiwork first hand. It's no different in Lowell as it was in Easterhouse 12 years ago. Horrible addiction.

Also not far from Easterhoose myself mate. Only 2 or 3 miles away from me. Glasgow aint as bad as people like to make out as I'm sure you may agree, maybe bad for people unfamiliar with it who could easily stray into rougher areas but thats the same for outsiders in any unfamiliar territory. Everywhere is the same for me, there are good bits and bad bits a stones throw away from each other no matter where you are and the safety comes from the local knowledge of knowing where to go and where to avoid.

Easterhouse aint anywhere near as bad as it used to be but I wouldn't recommend it for a picnic.
