Any rumours of the next big thing? (heavyweight)

Post by Mimmy »

So, is there any rumours circulating of any heavyweight from America thats making people sit up?

Just seen this record, only a novice but unbeaten with some knock outs

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

Surely there is someone in the States at this time who is getting some headlines as he make progression to the big time.

Not from America but .. keep an eye out for Filip Hergovic when he eventually turns pro ...

Watched him spar a number times at the Hayemaker Gym.

Tough F*cker who can take a shot and dish out too,

Adam "The Heatseeker" Machaj is a 26 year old prospect from Lancashire, he turned pro last year and won two in the first round. The second of those was streamed live online and it was all over in 16 seconds including the count. He went at the opponent like he wanted the fight to last under 20 seconds. You can't judge based on one fight but it was impressive and made me want to see him again.

Is there a ranking system similar to rankings in the UK online for people to see. I would like to see whats going on in the heavyweight division in the US

Mate of mine spends his time looking up heavyweights, always tell me the names of new prospects and i can never remember them but the last name i recall was Tyrell Wright who he said looked reasonably usefull but that he reminded him a bit of Chisora.

Edit ive just looked at his debut on youtube, not sure im convinced myself.

Best bet is to use the "ratings" section of Boxrec - you can pick any country/division. Should give you an idea of who's up and coming.

Vacant British title would always bring Audley back. I'd like to see him win it and retire for good.
