Hi Luke. I know what you're saying but the ratings take the last couple of weights into account. I guess many of the guys currently ranked as super-fly and bantams could do fly if the right fight came along. I'll keep an eye on your weight next time out :TU:

MR, does this apply to every boxer? If so I'd expect to see no British Flyweights. We all know that the BBBofC use these ratings for eliminators etc (even though they may say otherwise). If Luke is listed as Bantam due to weights being given to the Boxing News reporters etc then we can stop that process but we thought we were being honest and doing a favour to the reporters. This is a joke, I am absolutely disgusted. Everyone knows how hard it is to find flyweight opponents and therefore boxing above the flyweight limit is necessary to get fights. Between us being in NI and shows being harder and more expensive to run, the BBBofC screwing everyone anyway possible and now BoxRec shifting weights of boxers and directly effecting their ability to get title fights at their correct weights. We wonder why there are so many white collar shows?????

Jason Cunningham has made flyweight once? Why is he listed there? Luke Wilton has 10 fights at flyweight in a row, give or take a pound, then 2 outside the weight and gets moved to Bantam? Explain the BoxRec formula for this please. I'm going to go through every British boxer and what other anomalies exist.

AFAIK; the fighter and his manager decide the weight catagory to campaign in.
They will usually register with one of the ABC's for rating. However most will
fight a few kilos above if there's no title involved in order to get more fights.
The team should advise BoxRec when they want to change a weight class.
