does anybody know if Price didn't want Fury or vice-versa or what? Fury was after fighting anybody in Britain at one point, albeit it depends on what deals you're offering people to fight..

Yeah Price seems like a good guy so I hope he manages to make something of his career. Any job though which mainly involves you hitting people and taking punches to the head is going to be mentally challenging I imagine. A lot of sports seem to use Sports psychologists so I dont think there's anything wrong with a sport as tough as boxing using them.

I think both were interested in the fight, Price was probably more interested at the time with Fury preferring to wait until there was a bigger reward at the end. Politics scuppered it really, if Fury fought on Sky he lost the Channel 5 deal and Price was Maloney's top headline act, so he wasn't going to let him fight on another promoter's show on another channel and the same could be said for Hennessey.

Fury could argue that because he had a fight with Haye fall through, that he's leagues above. But frankly, that's all it was, on paper. It doesn't mean he's in the same league. However - he does have the "W" over Cunningham. Whereas Price was stopped twice in a row. Where the heck did they find Thompson? Can't carry on fighting knockovers indefinitely though.
I still think this fight would make both men a very tidy sum, however, if I was Tyson I'd be hoping to capitalise on that brilliant debut in America, which is very fresh in the memory.
