I,m not entirely sure but a on a Sky show a few months ago there was a Spanish boxer who im sure was based in Benidorm

I cant remember his name or who he fought but someone might remember he was the one who started doing cartwheels and handstands on one hand after he was stopped as if to prove he was able to continue

Someone might remember that,i know he was fighting a British prospect

I may be wrong but....... :TU:

Yeah was out at Sparta Gym but it was in Javea which was kinda far out! In fairness was really good for training with ex pro Steve Williams just was 1 hour drive for sparring! I'm looking for a gym in Benidorm where sparring will come to me! I travel enough around Scotland without going to another country to travel more!

Roberto el Tigre de Benidorm is their best fighter, there is also a gym in Torrevieja where Emiliano Casal trains.

Kiko Martinez is based in Alicante which is just down the road near the airport. Surely their must be a gym there where he trains.

Think this might be the nearest place. It looks like Kiko's gym.

Ronnie Clark and John Thain are having their careers destroyed. Best 2 prospects in Scotland by far - and how many fights has each had in the last 12 months and what was the opposition !!!

Five years from now, instead of having a Lonsdale belt around their waists, they'll be in some other boxers corner doing a coaching job.

Thats Boxing, Famous words, Promotors refuse to work with each other, Gilmour and Morrison both need their heads banging together and work together on putting on decent shows in Scotland with both camps fighting each other.

The sad reality is that the biggest ticket sellers get the fights. Neither Gilmour or Morrison can afford to put on shows without the public paying at the door if there is no TV money on the table. There isn't a general boxing public anymore - only supporters of boxers !!

John Thain couldn't sell out a hall in Edinburgh on his own so his promoter will not put on a show there and lose money. Ronnie Clark has a number of fans but is there enough to sell out a show in Dundee against good quality opposition. Tommy Gilmour obviously thinks not.

The only option then is for both boxers to declare that they'd fight ANYONE , ANYWHERE at ANYTIME. The managers wouldn't like this for a number of reasons. BUT the boxers are in control -THEY tell the managers what to do ,not the other way round. A lot forget this.

I don't know Clark or Thain but if they want to fight more often the answer is in their hands. If I was them I'd personally contact every single matchmaker in Britain and let them know I'm available ,and TELL the manager to get his finger out .

i think Ronnies been told that he doesnt make the matches , thats his promotors job

you can issue challlanges all you want but if your contracted to a promoter then its there decision mate

Spot on GazMac, And Ronnie couldnt sell out Dundee on his own also, but Gilmour has other Dundee fighters who can sell atleast 100 tickets surely in Jamie Wilson, Mikey Towell, Davie Drummond. Maybe a 500 seater venue they would sell out as Ronnie would sell majority of them. Tommy is comfortable in his dinner shows hence why I believe Ronnie shouldnt have signed with him but hey Ronnie is his own person and he knows whats best for him i guess.

I think to be fair to the promotors mentioned, Thain is managed and promoted by warren .
