Why didn't Sugar Ray Robinson get to fight in the Olympics?
Robinson was 85-0 or 85-2 as an amateur, whichever he had superstar written all over him, why didn't he have any olympics experience?

I guess if there'd been a 1940 Olympics he might well have been there - the war got in the way.

Definitely the war, but Ray might have had other motives.
