Anthony Crolla Vs John Murray Rumored for the M.E.N
How does everyone see this going and also is Murray still signed to allegedly as he is fighting on a matchroom card next.

I think Murray has been managed by Mick Marsden for a long time. Not sure about his promotional status. Sky will love this fight, with the Joe Gallagher angle. It will also sell a lot of tickets, much needed on this bill!

Not gunna happen then. Crolla will fight gethin for britissh title in april. Also murray is with fw so can't see him agreeing to let murray fight on any matchroom show.

hes fighting on the hull bill which makes me think his contract with Warren may be up, this would be an excellent finght and could see Quigg defending his title on this bill

Quigg is headlining. It's already confirmed.

I would be surprised to see this with the promotional differences but maybe John has left allegedly?

It would certainly be a good fight as Murray has fought at a much higher level but came up short. I'd like to think Murray would have learnt no to be so gung-ho and move his head more. Crolla is a good tidy boxer and I could see him taking over the fight the longer it went on. Murray would be dangerous for the first 5-6 rounds but he's too one dimensional and would get caught repeatedly marauding forward with little to no head movement and gradually get picked off by Crolla who has good movement and boxing skills - I'd put my money on a Crolla win on points

For me John has to KO him to win on a Matchroom show.

This. He was still signed with Fwank as of November when Coldwell needed his permission for him to fight on his show, so unless his contracts expired in the last 3 months, I'd guess that he's still with FW. He was going to allow him to fight Rees until the issues with the brain scan and he's on the Hull show, so I'd guess this one is likely to come off, if it does I'd take Murray to stop Crolla late on or get robbed on the cards.

was reading about this and I'm very excited.

crolla's become more technical, and appears still to be in progress, improving.

murray's a beast at the weight and I reckon at some point is becomes a battle of attrition, with crolla perhaps having to combine the more technical, subdued style (rees & derry 2 fights) with the more assertive stuff / aggressive rallies / heavier punching. crolla may have to box with some caution, and then mix in some of the bigger shots, in other words.

don't just assume it's an easy night for crolla. both crolla and murray know how dangerous guys are on the way back (see crolla-derry 1 and murray-mitchell, defeats for both guys). the guys around these weights can surprise us, and you never know, this could be murray's "gomez-arthur" (super feather classic, going back a bit, which didn't follow the screenplay!).

really like both guys, and would rather see crolla-murray than crolla-gethin - if boxing's about levels, gethin at the moment is one below these two.
