Prince has always looked in good shape physically whenever I've seen him, not sure he can be a major force but I'd have given him a license if it was my decision. Big guys mature later in life. I advised Deakin to retire ages ago, the sooner he knocks it on the head the better, he's gonna end up getting hurt! I just heard Marston got beat also. I've not seen Decastro. I've not been to any GBA shows, how did it compare to BBBC shows?

How did Counihan look Jon and is there any chance he will eventually get licensed by the BBBC?

Following on from the query re: Counihan what is the latest with Joe Costello and Jordan Clayton - 2 other exciting prospects from Brum

I know Clayton had his first fight middle of last year but nothing since and I would have expected Costello to have had his first pro fight by now...

Someone needs to tell Robin that it's time to pack it in before he gets hurt, they've brought in an opponent for him to beat who's lost every fight and he still got beat.

I would have thought the fact that the board withdrew his licence would constitute someone telling him to pack up

I meant someone closer to him, a friend or trainer to tell him that unless he retires, he's going to end up getting seriously hurt.

I dont know about that spudder i was managing and training Paddy Patterson and as he neared his 50th fight i noticed he was taking a bit more stick than he had before and was having harder and harder fights against the same level off opponent so when he got to fight 50(which was one of his ambitions when he turned) i had a good long chat with him and he called it a day and retired under his own steam rather than because he had too or the board made him.
So not always will people working with the boxers encourage them to carry on when they shouldnt

my brother & Carl greaves along with myself in my case knew that 100 was my time. It was all I started off for. Even the small hall promoters knew not too ask me again. The easy fights was starting to get hard.robin has has a lot of shit in his life and he kept coming.robin can be his worst enemy at times with some of the stuff he says but that kid has balls. Maybe it is time he looked at it from another angle.i want him to pack it in now.he worked v hard to get this win.shame it didnt work out.he is a try'er and I respect that kid loads.
